Does your business need a lift during the current financial climate? Well if the answer is yes, Burden Transport might just be able to assist, quite literally. We have recently added a crane vehicle to our fleet that enables us to offer a wider range of delivery options than ever before. The vehicle is fitted with a Hiab crane so it is able to offload itself. Since putting the vehicle into operation at the end of March 09’ the vehicle has proved hugely popular with customers who required their goods to be offloaded, when forklifts or other lifting means are not available.

The new vehicle was an obvious choice, being another Volvo FM. This means we have been able to standardise our fleet to what we believe is one of the most economical commercial vehicles available today. The spec of the vehicle enables us to lift and load items up to 7,000kgs. The crane can also lift items up to 1,200kgs at over 10 metres. We can also load plant and other wheeled items up to 14,000kgs with the use of the vehicles hydraulic ramp configuration.

Like the rest of our current fleet the vehicle operates on a nationwide service, offering both dedicated and part load options 7 days a week. We hope that operating a vehicle with such a varied and useful specification will continue to be as popular with customers old and new.

Burden Transport Ltd has been successfully operating over the last 12 years, as a family owned Transport Provider to the construction industry. Over this time we have built up a reputation for a friendly and reliable service.

We currently operate a modern fleet of vehicles that are able to make deliveries on a nationwide scale for freight ranging from recycled bottles to an Aircraft Engine. Over this time we have gained experience of moving a multitude of other freight, giving us a diverse scope for making your deliveries.

Being members of The Road Haulage Association and operating with full goods in transit insurance you can be assured that we can offer a competitive but professional delivery service around the clock, 7 days a week.

We can currently offer both dedicated vehicle and part load deliveries for freight up to 28,000kgs. We also undertake collections from any part of the country and return them to the local area.

In 2008 the company has seen a change in management and we our now looking to broaden our horizons to be able to offer an even more diverse service to our customers.
